A Day At The Vineyard: Long Island

A Day At The Vineyard: Long Island

Posted on 2020-07-16

Twenty-five years ago, there was a lone winery on all Long Island. From that single pioneering winemaker a flourishing industry has developed. Today, more than 3,000 acres of vineyards and over 50 companies that compete internationally internationally.

Sadly, many New Yorkers are unaware of this thriving industry on Long Island that offers small batch wines and wineries with lovely tasting rooms. Because the industry is so low-key, New York visitors are also in the dark about a great way to spend a day outside of New York City.

Long Island wineries are in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties and on both forks – North and South. The great majority of the wineries though are at the east end of Suffolk County’s North Fork.

The wine country of Long Island makes for a great corporate event, family reunion or social group event. The best way for everyone to enjoy a wine tour is in the comfort of a luxury charter bus from Monsey Tours. Our luxury buses ensure your group’s comfort. Tour busses come with video screens, heating, air conditioning, and clean comfortable lavatories.

Your group spends the day in the beautiful Long Island countryside visiting wine makers who meld old world and contemporary wine making. Group members can taste and buy wine at all the stops.

Since we do the driving, our driver is your designated driver so that your tour of wine country will be fun and safe. Call Monsey Tours at 1-800-232-TOURS or 718-623-9000.
